Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) is looking for a Unapplied Cash Analyst to manage all cash application functions within our finance department. In this role, you will support general operations with a focus on reviewing and reconciling unapplied cash to ensure financial accuracy. Our mission is to advance the fight against cancer, and your work will directly support our efforts to transform care and personalize treatment.
What You'll Do
- Review and reconcile unapplied cash.
- Work closely with sites to confirm visit activity.
- Enter charges into the clinical trial management system (CTMS) if and when needed.
- Apply receivables to the Cash Receipts Log for all lines of business.
- Perform transactional line-item cash posting into proprietary systems based on remittance detail from pharmaceutical companies.
- Ensure accuracy of cash postings by contacting pharmaceutical companies to verify payment remittance details.
- Review, interpret, and discuss remittances from payers for data accuracy.
What We're Looking For
- A High School Diploma.
- 1+ year of work experience with basic financial operations including debits/credits, reconciliation, invoice structures, and payment lifecycles.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
- Understanding of how payments flow, how to match payments to invoices, and how unapplied cash affects financials.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies, interpret remittances, and resolve unidentified cash.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and clear communication skills.
Nice to Have
- An Associate's Degree is highly preferred.
