About the Role
Oversee the planning, execution, and management of clinical operations in the UK, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards, strategic goals, and project timelines while leading cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Direct the end-to-end delivery of clinical studies across UK sites
- Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice and relevant regulatory requirements
- Manage relationships with clinical sites, investigators, and internal stakeholders
- Develop and implement operational strategies for trial efficiency and quality
- Lead and mentor a team of clinical operations professionals
- Coordinate with global teams to align regional activities with international programs
- Oversee site selection, initiation, and monitoring processes
- Monitor study progress against timelines and performance metrics
- Identify and mitigate operational risks and challenges
- Prepare and manage clinical trial budgets and resource allocation
- Ensure accurate and timely data collection and reporting
- Collaborate with regulatory affairs on submission and compliance matters
- Drive process improvements in clinical trial conduct
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK healthcare regulations
- Support audit readiness and inspection preparedness
- Work closely with legal and contracts teams on site agreements
- Ensure patient safety and protocol compliance throughout trial lifecycle
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures
- Represent clinical operations in senior leadership meetings
- Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and patient focus
