Midwest Communications is hiring a UI/UX Designer to craft page layouts and visual designs for MWC media websites, blending strong design skills with user-centered thinking. You’ll play a key role in branding and user experience, collaborating closely with product, development, and marketing teams.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with brand marketing, graphic design, front-end development, brand managers, sales, and station staff to ensure successful branding and website outcomes.
- Address internal inquiries and requests related to websites and branding.
- Partner with Market Managers and station marketing teams to launch new station pages, promotions, contests, and websites.
- Use code to fulfill basic webpage requirements.
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, co-workers, employees, and upper management.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of a podcasting platform to set up new podcasts.
- Work with Digital Platforms for contesting and promotional tools to create interactive experiences between stations and listeners.
- Read, analyze, and interpret materials related to web design and digital platforms.
- Stay current with industry-wide changes in design philosophy, tools, and technologies for web design and digital media.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, maturity, and good judgment; demonstrate a positive can-do attitude and effective communication skills with a diverse range of individuals.
- Knowledge of website platforms to optimize station websites and apps.
- Working knowledge of computers, software, and the internet.
- Ability to effectively present information through visual media.
- Ability to define and solve problems.
- Candidate must live in one of the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, or Wisconsin.
