Camunda is looking for a Product Designer to shape the core user experience of our workflow modeling and orchestration builder. You'll bring powerful orchestration capabilities to life for both expert developers and less-technical users, making building production-ready workflows intuitive and low-friction.
What You'll Do
- Shape Camunda's workflow modeling and orchestration builder experiences.
- Bring powerful orchestration capabilities to life for both experts and less-technical users.
- Work on high-impact problems to make building production-ready workflows feel intuitive and low-friction.
- Accelerate pro-code teams while enabling no-/low-code users to safely make changes or create simple automations.
- Improve end-to-end journeys across the platform, including progressive modeling, in-context testing, clear data/variable lineage, and trustworthy AI assistance.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years designing complex enterprise B2B software with simplified, welcoming UX for powerful capabilities.
- Strong builder UX craft in workflow/automation builders, visual editors, or similar.
- Ability to design for both expert/pro-code and no-/low-code personas in a coherent experience.
- UX strategy and systems thinking across connected workflows and journeys.
- High ownership and momentum: takes initiative, drives progress, and thrives in close partnership with PM and Engineering.
- Candid communication and strong design rationale.
- Validation mindset with customer/internal feedback and outcome orientation.
- Hands-on AI/agentic experience design regarding guardrails, transparency/confidence, control, and evaluating trust/quality.
- Proficiency with Figma or similar; self-organized remote work.
- Ability and/or willingness to use our product.
Nice to Have
- Experience with orchestration/workflow/automation platforms, or adjacent domains like iPaaS, integration platforms, RPA, or low-code automation.
- Experience designing in-context testing/iteration loops and data/variable visibility such as lineage, inputs/outputs, and debugging.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience: BA/BS or Master’s in HCI, Interaction Design, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience.
Technical Stack
- Figma or similar design tools.
Team & Environment
You'll be embedded with Product Management and Engineering, collaborating closely with designers across adjacent areas.

- Compensation: United States: $138,300.00 to $223,000.00. United Kingdom: £86,800.00 to £142,800.00. Singapore: S$171,700.00 to S$257,600.00. + equity through a Virtual Stock Option Plan (VSOP).
