Senior UX/UI Designer working remotely on a US-based healthcare client project, focusing on mobile and web platforms. The role involves close collaboration with a large UX team using user-centered design principles and a structured Design System, as part of a dedicated product team supported by MentorMate.
Responsibilities
- Balance analytical and intuitive design approaches to transform business requirements into engaging, customer-focused experiences.
- Promote simple, intuitive user experiences grounded in evidence across all delivered products and services.
- Create and manage user flows, wireframes, prototypes, interface specifications, final design assets, and end-to-end experiences.
- Clearly communicate design pattern details to ensure consistent implementation and scalability across future projects.
- Advocate for user needs by balancing desirability with business viability and technical feasibility within project scope.
- Deliver research-driven design solutions using established Human-Centered Design best practices.
- Ensure design team members fully understand requirements provided by business analysts and product owners.
- Analyze customer and feature usage data to uncover opportunities for innovation and experience improvement.
- Lead design initiatives for product enhancements through hands-on involvement and direction.
- Gain a thorough understanding of MentorMate’s services, customers, and real-world use cases.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with an international team of over 25 UX/UI designers, engineers, project managers, and business teams to optimize design and implementation processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as a UX/UI designer in a digital product development environment.
- Strong grasp of research methods and UX best practices in Human-Centered Design.
- Proven experience creating information architecture, user flows, personas, low- and high-fidelity wireframes, and interactive prototypes.
- Portfolio showcasing strong analytical thinking and a clear UX design process.
- Active awareness and interest in emerging trends in UX/UI and design technology.
- Proficient in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Whimsical, Mural, MIRO, FigJam, and other relevant design tools.
- Ability to form and communicate informed perspectives on user experience, technology, and business communication.
- Challenge assumptions and validate design decisions using data and insights from users and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Figma AI features, Chat GPT, and similar technologies.
- Excellent organizational abilities and documentation practices.
- Experience guiding teams and delegating design tasks effectively.
- Responsible, collaborative, and team-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Behavior Design.
- Hands-on experience with usability testing platforms such as UserTesting.com.
- Comprehensive UX skills including research, synthesis, design strategy, and creation of standard UX deliverables.
- Proven track record designing B2B and B2C web and mobile applications.
- Experience working in Scrum or agile development environments.
- Knowledge of native iOS and Android design guidelines and documentation.
- Experience designing for enterprise-level users.
- In-depth understanding of WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and compliance requirements.
- Practical experience conducting usability testing and validation.
- Experience collaborating with international teams and designing for enterprise users.
