MTI-inc is hiring a Sr. UX Designer to apply UX within a user-centered research, analysis, design, and development process. In this role, you will create effective solutions for digital products, physical products, and work systems.
What You'll Do
- Conduct user-centered research and usability testing.
- Create user flows, wireframes, visual styles, interaction designs, and UI components.
- Apply user-centered design processes to evaluate existing systems and contribute to new designs.
- Communicate design processes and findings to team members and stakeholders.
- Select, apply, and support team members in using tools and standards like the System Usability Scale (SUS) and UI style guides.
- Oversee junior personnel in specific tasks, contributing to overall project success.
- Independently manage complex tasks and collaborate with peers to achieve project objectives.
- Lead engagement with cross-functional teams to gather user requirements.
- Lead the analysis of user interaction data to inform design decisions.
- Create and maintain design mockups, prototypes, style guides, and documentation.
- Lead design reviews and facilitate constructive feedback.
- Foster a collaborative, user-centric team culture that encourages knowledge sharing.
- Advocate for User-Centered Design processes and mentor junior researchers.
- Contribute to proposals and capture efforts.
What We're Looking For
- Must have a US DoD Security Clearance.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a UX/HFE environment.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe CC (especially XD), Figma, Axure, and Sketch.
- A commitment to understanding and advocating for the needs and preferences of end users.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to convey complex findings to diverse audiences.
- Developing leadership and mentorship skills to cultivate a user-centric design culture.
