SGS is seeking a skilled and safety-focused UAV Pilot to support aerial survey operations across Tasmania. In this role, you will deliver high-quality unmanned aircraft missions in compliance with CASA regulations and company procedures, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Undertake UAV operations in strict compliance with CASA regulations and company procedures to support the TasNetworks Aerial Survey and other statewide programs.
- Deliver additional unmanned systems work aligned with industry best practice and statutory requirements to ensure successful client outcomes.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to help define scope, budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
- Implement innovative and sustainable UAV inspection methodologies to improve safety, efficiency, and survey results.
- Record and report any deviations from capture targets, including cause and implemented mitigation.
- Ensure all operations meet company standards and comply with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
- CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL).
- Demonstrated UAV flying experience in operational environments.
- Solid understanding of CASA aviation regulations, safety management systems, and operational compliance.
- Ability to strictly adhere to CASA, WHS and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Nice to Have
- Experience in aerial survey programs, ideally within the energy, infrastructure, or environmental sector.
