Tribe Labs is seeking freelance cricket commentators from India to provide text-based commentary for cricket matches around the world. The role demands strong English skills, in-depth cricket understanding, and the ability to work remotely in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Cover various cricket matches around the world via text-commentary for Tribe
- Work individually to deliver real-time updates and commentary
What We're Looking For
- Excellent English language skills
- Profound understanding of cricket and its intricacies
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under-pressure
- Fast typing skills – at least 60 words per minute
- A strong sense of responsibility and diligence
- The ability to work individually
- A stable internet connection (as all work is from home)
- High availability (minimum of 15 hours per week) and flexibility with respect to working hours
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in sports writing
- 1-2 years’ experience doing text-based cricket commentary
- A bachelor’s degree in communication, Media, Journalism or related field
