Transat AT is seeking an experienced Treasury Director to lead our corporate and operational treasury team. In this key role, you will manage financial risks related to currencies, fuel, and carbon, optimize cash management, and maintain critical relationships with external financial partners. You will also support the Senior Director – Investor Relations and Corporate Finance in managing the company's capital structure.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and analyze financial risks related to currencies, fuel, and carbon for various subsidiaries and recommend appropriate strategies.
- Contribute to the establishment, updating, and application of financial risk management policies and strategies.
- Execute hedging programs using derivative instruments, ensure documentation, and monitor portfolio performance.
- Conduct in-depth risk analyses, propose controls, and participate in implementing risk management systems.
- Support the optimization of the corporate insurance program.
- Manage corporate treasury: investment policy, capital preservation, optimal return, negotiation of banking fees, and cash monitoring, including 13-week cash flow.
- Supervise the operational treasury team, including bank reconciliation, payment execution, and continuous process improvement.
- Manage short-term bank borrowings, ensure compliance with restrictive covenants, prepare compliance reports, and monitor current agreements.
- Maintain and develop relationships with banks and credit card processors and contribute to key renewals and negotiations.
- Participate in the implementation of technological solutions, notably a Treasury Management System (TMS), to optimize treasury operations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in corporate treasury at a public company or financial institution, including team management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of financial markets (currencies, commodities) and derivative instruments.
- Strong analytical, communication, synthesis, and financial modeling conceptualization skills.
- Demonstrated mastery of financial valuation tools.
- Excellent command of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, risk management systems, and Treasury Management System (TMS).
- Oral and written proficiency in French and English.

- A graduate degree or CFA designation is considered an asset.
