As a Project Manager in Client Operations, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of initiatives critical to client success. You'll shape project strategy from inception to completion, ensuring alignment between market demands and internal execution. Your role will center on maintaining momentum, accountability, and clarity across teams and stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Design comprehensive project plans, defining goals, scope, timelines, resources, and expected outcomes
- Assign team members, budget, and tools efficiently to maintain progress within constraints
- Coordinate communication across departments, vendors, and leadership to keep all parties informed of developments
- Anticipate risks and create proactive strategies to reduce their impact on deliverables
- Enforce quality benchmarks through reviews, testing, and validation at key project stages
- Track milestones and adjust schedules or staffing when challenges arise
- Resolve conflicts, technical obstacles, and shifting requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Keep detailed records of decisions, changes, and progress, including meeting summaries and reports
- Deliver regular updates to stakeholders on performance and status
- Manage changes in scope or objectives, ensuring proper documentation and approval
- Lead post-project evaluations to capture insights and improve future outcomes
Requirements
- Five years of project management experience within a healthcare organization
- Three years of direct experience with self-funded plans in a third-party administrator (TPA) environment
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Tools & Technology
You’ll work with SmartSheets, MS Project, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, and Word to manage tasks, timelines, and collaboration.
Work Environment
This role supports remote work across the Eastern and Central time zones. Local candidates have access to office spaces in Buffalo or New York City when needed.
