The Treasurer plays a central role in maintaining financial stability by monitoring daily funding levels across pay-out partners and internal verticals. You will ensure adequate liquidity is available to meet operational demands and proactively identify potential shortfalls to mitigate exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and manage daily funding positions to support uninterrupted financial flows
- Prepare cash flow projections across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons
- Analyse funding trends to guide strategic decision-making
- Support the management of surplus cash to optimise returns while preserving capital safety
- Contribute to the design and oversight of financial risk controls
- Strengthen treasury safeguards through improved preventive and detective mechanisms
- Assess financial and operational risks tied to funding channels
- Engage with banking institutions, auditors, and third-party payment providers
- Maintain effective relationships with external partners
- Oversee treasury account administration with external service providers
- Support accurate treasury reporting and performance analysis
- Provide treasury input for new product development and launches
- Help refine treasury processes, systems, and documentation
- Ensure consistent, process-driven operations within the treasury function
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Grade 12 certificate and a BCom in Accounting or a related field, with a solid grasp of accounting principles. Completion of SAICA articles is preferred. A minimum of three years of treasury experience, particularly in multinational settings, is highly desirable. Familiarity with FinTech operations and internal systems is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential for data analysis, modelling, and reporting.
