About the Role

NNI Construction is hiring a Traveling Superintendent to serve as the on-site leader responsible for ensuring every NNI project is completed safely, on schedule, and to our high standards of quality. What You'll Do

  • Adhere to project schedules and specifications as set forth by the Project Manager and Director of Construction.
  • Ensure compliance with construction plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures on site.
  • Foster a positive and safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and audits, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Monitor and address safety concerns proactively.
  • Maintain regular and effective communication with all project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and progress photos/videos.
  • Identify and address construction-related challenges and obstacles proactively.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop innovative solutions to maintain project progress.
  • Manage and coordinate all 16 trades and subcontractors on site for a smooth workflow.
  • Provide initial resolution of disputes, poor workmanship, scheduling delays, and other on-site issues.
  • Maintain effective and collaborative communication and coordination with the Project Manager.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years as a Superintendent for a General Contractor in retail/commercial construction.
  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial/retail construction experience.
  • Hands-on experience leading and managing a team of subcontractors and on-site personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide guidance, direction, and support for effective collaboration.
  • OSHA30 certification with 1 year of experience maintaining it.

Team & Environment

You will be responsible for the supervision of all 16 trades on site and will report directly to the Project Manager.
