Layton Construction Company, LLC, is hiring a Travel Electrical Superintendent to lead all electrical aspects of our construction projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring electrical work meets safety standards, codes, and project goals.
What You'll Do
- Oversee and manage all electrical installations and maintenance activities.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals.
- Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to electrical foremen, journeymen, and apprentices.
- Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Ensure all electrical work meets or exceeds industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Conduct safety training and ensure team awareness of hazards.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including blueprints and progress reports.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports to project managers and clients.
- Liaise with other trades and subcontractors for seamless system integration.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with a general contractor or 10 years as a trade foreman.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Nice to Have
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
