Support freight operations remotely by serving as a key contact for drivers, dispatchers, and brokers. Your role ensures shipments move efficiently by providing accurate information, tracking progress, and resolving issues in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver updated route details, delivery windows, and appointment times to drivers
- Monitor estimated times of arrival, equipment status, and driver compliance with hours-of-service rules
- Assist drivers in overcoming roadside challenges promptly and professionally
- Confirm pickup and delivery schedules with shippers and receivers
- Track load movements and share current status updates with stakeholders
- Review bills of lading and proof of delivery to verify freight accuracy
- Assess realistic time requirements for loading and unloading
- Prevent scheduling conflicts and back-to-back appointments with insufficient buffer
- Upload all required documentation into the transportation management system
- Record and report detention, layover, and downtime compensation opportunities
- Maintain detailed, up-to-date load notes
- Send regular check calls and status reports
- Notify broker partners of any changes or delays
- Build and maintain professional relationships across the supply chain
