Langan is looking for a Senior Transport Engineer to join its collaborative team in London. In this role, you will serve a key function on traffic and parking studies, master planning, and infrastructure projects, delivering high-profile and challenging work both in the UK and across the Middle East and North Africa region.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and perform planning, analysis, design, and permitting for traffic engineering, land development, master planning, parking, and infrastructure projects.
- Deliver multiple projects within specific schedules and deadlines, preparing progress reports and draft change order requests.
- Work with staff to determine project feasibility based on preliminary data and prepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, and designs.
- Organize, write, and edit draft proposals, reports, memoranda, and Traffic Impact and Parking studies.
- Participate in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and attend business development meetings to pursue new clients.
- Guide junior staff on specific project assignments, coaching, training, and motivating them on traffic, transportation, master planning, and parking projects.
- Interface and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, supervisors, and other office locations and disciplines.
- Perform other duties as requested.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in road, junctions, and transport infrastructure design.
- Experience with AutoCAD and swept path analysis.
- Experience with transport modelling and simulation software including Junctions 9/10/11 and LINSIG, and industry standards/guidelines.
- Experience with Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and sustainable travel initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Ability to effectively work on multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Chartered or working towards chartership.
- Experience with microsimulation modelling software such as VISSIM and Aimsun Next.
- Experience working on international projects.
