Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Transport Associate for a full-time position at Allegheny General Hospital. This role is central to hospital operations, responsible for the safe and efficient movement of patients, medical items, and equipment while providing excellent service as a representative of the facility.
What You'll Do
- Transport inpatients and outpatients within the facility from their initial location to their destination.
- Deliver equipment, materials, and specimens to requesting departments, which includes using the pneumatic tube system.
- Serve as a Hospital ambassador by providing information and clear direction to patients and visitors.
- Ensure all transportation equipment is kept clean and in proper working order.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain working relationships with both internal and external departments and customers at all levels.
- Ability to maintain the highest measure of confidentiality.
- Valid Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Valid Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Valid Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- CPR Certification (incumbents in the role as of 05/01/25 must obtain certification by 09/01/25).

This position is onsite at Allegheny General Hospital.
