Chubb Fire & Security Australia is hiring a Portable Technician to deliver essential fire safety services directly to our customers. Based in Geelong, Victoria, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining fire protection equipment on customer sites, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards.
What You'll Do
- Attend customer sites to install, service, and maintain fire protection equipment including hose reels, hydrants, extinguishers, and other related products.
- Test smoke detectors and service portable fire equipment on customer premises.
- Recommend portable fire protection and safety systems to clients.
- Provide excellent customer service and technical advice on site.
- Use power tools to install and repair portable fire equipment such as extinguishers and blankets.
- Use a Field Service mobile phone application to plan and organize your daily schedule.
- Prepare written reports and quotations as required.
What We're Looking For
- A current, valid Driver’s Licence.
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- A construction industry white card (or the ability to obtain one).
Nice to Have
- FPAS accreditation or a Certificate II in Fire Protection, or a willingness to obtain this with our in-house training.
- Previous experience in a similar role involving basic maintenance and/or mobile service delivery.
- An appreciation for excellent customer service and strong communication skills for client interactions.
