Michels Utility Services, Inc. is hiring a Transmission Line Estimator

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in cost estimation, transmission and distribution systems, or utility construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience in subcontractor coordination and contract negotiation
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company standards

Nice to Have

  • Background in transmission, distribution, or utility infrastructure construction projects
  • Skill in using Microsoft Office applications and estimating platforms such as Accubid, HCSS, or comparable tools
  • Familiarity with project management principles or field operations in construction
  • Prior experience collaborating with utility providers, cooperatives, or municipal agencies

  • Work may involve outdoor environments with variable weather, active construction zones, and moderate noise levels
  • Requires close and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus for detailed estimation tasks
  • Must be able to lift or move objects up to 25 pounds
