Responsibilities
- Foster and uphold a robust safety culture, ensuring adherence to all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Evaluate bid requirements for projects ranging from approximately $500,000 to $10,000,000, ensuring comprehensive documentation of all project aspects.
- Create detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for transmission and distribution construction projects.
- Collaborate with Procurement to obtain vendor and supplier pricing.
- Identify, manage, and maintain relationships with subcontractors, ensuring comprehensive and timely bid coverage.
- Actively follow up with subcontractors to encourage competitive bid participation.
- Develop project schedules and cost forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual comparisons throughout the estimating process.
- Work with Project Management teams to follow up on bids, budgets, and secure business opportunities.
- Accurately transfer bid documents and subcontractor buyout information to Project Managers.
- Review drawings with Project Management teams and identify risks, scope gaps, and constructability concerns.
- Maintain precise, organized estimate documentation and bid records.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
