GE HealthCare is hiring an entry-level Transient Analysis Engineer to join our Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) analysis team. You will apply state-of-the-art methods to perform thermal-hydraulic and plant transient analyses, supporting critical projects like reload analysis, power uprates, and new power plant licensing.
What You'll Do
- Perform thermal-hydraulic and plant transient analyses to support BWR reload analysis, power uprate, and new power plant analyses.
- Lead projects including technical evaluations and analyses in plant transients, thermal hydraulics, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Heat Balances, and thermal hydraulic fuel channel analyses.
- Deliver products at a high and sustainable level in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Quickly learn and apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve problems.
- Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations.
- Provide engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the area of transient analysis.
- Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers.
- Implement continual improvement of transient analysis work processes.
What We're Looking For
- B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar).
- Ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
Nice to Have
- Experience with BWR core simulation and thermal-hydraulic systems codes.
- Background in power plant or process plant thermal hydraulics.
- Fundamental knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response.
