Loudoun County Government is hiring a Training Coordinator for a full-time temporary position lasting approximately one year. You will join the Learning and Organizational Development Team within the Department of Human Resources, supporting a wide range of County-wide learning initiatives in a hybrid work environment.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate various in-person and virtual County-wide learning activities and initiatives.
- Manage learning event registration and promotion.
- Generate materials and provide on-site and online assistance for assigned learning events.
- Coordinate supplies for training events.
- Ensure newly hired employees are assigned required new hire online training.
- Update the Learning Management System and training calendars to reflect upcoming classes.
- Deliver presentations to small groups.
- Respond to inquiries from employees related to learning events.
What We're Looking For
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
- Two (2) years of coordinating and implementing multiple training events in a business or work-related setting.
- Thorough knowledge of eLearning options, learning management systems, various training methods and techniques, and presentation skills.
- Skilled in all Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with your HR team, County agencies, and external groups.
- Ability to communicate, written and verbally, in a clear, concise manner.
- Be a strong collaborator, critical thinker, develop solutions and facilitate problem solving.
- Must successfully undergo criminal background, credit, and DMV checks.
Nice to Have
- Local government experience.
- Professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or APTD.
