This role supports the Learning and Organizational Development team by managing the logistics and coordination of training programs across the organization. The Training Coordinator will assist in organizing both in-person and virtual learning events, ensuring smooth registration, timely communication, and proper distribution of training materials. Responsibilities include maintaining the Learning Management System, updating training calendars, and preparing onboarding content for new hires.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate logistics for county-wide training sessions, including scheduling, registration, and supply coordination
- Support the delivery of virtual and in-person learning events with on-site and digital assistance
- Generate and distribute training materials and ensure content is up to date
- Update and manage the Learning Management System with accurate class information
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding training programs and enrollment
- Deliver presentations to small groups on training-related topics
- Ensure new employees are enrolled in required onboarding modules
- Promote upcoming learning opportunities across departments
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, along with at least two years of experience in training coordination within a professional environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with learning management systems are essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as the ability to collaborate across departments and build productive relationships.
Preferred qualifications include experience in local government operations or holding a professional HR certification such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or APTD.
