We are looking for a Trainee Notary (Candidate Notary) to join the Corporate practice group at A&O Shearman in Amsterdam. You will be part of the team from day one, advising and negotiating directly for international clients on complex, cross-border transactions under the guidance of an experienced partner.
What You'll Do
- Advise and negotiate directly for international clients on significant and often cross-border matters.
- Provide notarial and corporate law advice on a broad range of corporate law topics.
- Work on challenging transactions including mergers, splits, restructurings, acquisitions, setting up international acquisition structures, privatizations, joint ventures, management buy outs/ins, and IPOs.
- Advise large and smaller Dutch listed companies on their corporate governance.
What We're Looking For
- You must be a starting candidate notary (kandidaat-notaris).
- Your application must include a CV, cover letter, unedited grade lists from master, bachelor, and secondary school studies, and any internship assessments.
Team & Environment
You will be part of the notary practice, which consists of three practice groups: Corporate, International Capital Markets, and Real Estate. The role reports directly to an experienced partner.
