A&O Shearman seeks a Knowledge, Innovation, Research and Training Assistant to join the team in our Madrid office. In this varied role, you will perform essential library and research functions while actively supporting knowledge and innovation initiatives within our globally impactful firm.
What You'll Do
- Catalog printed and digital resources, maintain the SIGD, process acquisitions, manage access to online resources, analyze metrics, and maintain the intranet.
- Manage suppliers and invoicing, support budget control, and assist in preparing business cases for contracting or renewing online resources.
- Conduct basic legal searches (legislation, case law, bibliography) and support legal research and business & market intelligence queries.
- Contribute to preparing alerts, monitoring legislative and jurisprudential news, and maintaining sources and taxonomies in the tracking platform.
- Assist in promoting resources and services, prepare training materials, organize training sessions, and onboard new users.
- Support general administrative tasks and knowledge management projects, including updating the intranet and internal databases, managing internal legal training programs, and maintaining the e-learning platform.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in Information and Documentation, Information and Digital Content Management, and/or Law.
- Accredited professional experience of between 2 and 4 years.
- Immediate availability for a full-time schedule.
- A very high level of English.
- Strong teamwork, organization, attention to detail, service orientation, and excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in the legal sector and knowledge of legal databases, document management systems, legal tech tools, and AI applications in the legal sector.
