The Hong Kong Jockey Club is looking for a Trading Manager to lead the daily operations of our Sports Trading Team. You will ensure the effective execution of market strategies and robust risk management to consistently achieve profitability targets. This role drives operational discipline and business performance while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Formulate and communicate odds for events by compiling data, communicating odds and information, and finalizing odds where required.
- Maximize profitability of event betting by identifying and executing price changes, analyzing profitability, monitoring customer performance for trends, and reporting on market/product profitability.
- Maximize profitability of in-play betting by identifying and executing price changes, analyzing profitability, and reporting on in-play profitability.
- Take responsibility for team success by planning and setting objectives for team development, training, and assessment of traders.
- Make decisions and be responsible for high-turnover and complex trading practices.
- Maintain effective relationships with other departments near to Trading and external partners.
- Show interest and offer support to strategic initiatives important to the entire business.
- Take up shift management in the absence of the Senior Trading Manager.
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Gambling Policy and all stipulated legal requirements pertaining to football betting.
- Undertake other duties assigned by Line Manager.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 7 years' experience managing a football or US sports trading team that includes fixed-odds.
- Bachelor degree with strong numerical and analytical skills.
