Talan is seeking a Trading Application Support Engineer to provide global production support for critical trading platforms across FX and Exchange-Traded Derivatives on the trading floor. You will be the primary IT contact for daily operations, interfacing directly with traders, quants, and sales teams to ensure the stability, performance, and reliability of front-office applications.
What You'll Do
- Provide hands-on technical and functional support for FX and Derivatives trading platforms, including algorithmic trading tools and order routing systems.
- Monitor platform stability and performance, ensuring high availability, low latency, and reliable connectivity to markets.
- Act as the first point of contact for incidents, resolving production issues and coordinating with traders, developers, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.
- Manage application releases, deployments, and post-rollout validation to ensure seamless integration into production environments.
- Support client FIX connectivity, OMS/EMS workflows, and post-trade STP processes.
- Work closely with engineering teams to drive system improvements, enhance platform resilience, and optimize functional capabilities.
- Participate in change management activities, including planning, documentation, and coordination of production updates.
- Contribute to team knowledge sharing, maintain up-to-date documentation, and follow global best practices for application support.
What We're Looking For
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Quantitative Finance.
- Minimum 2.5 years of post-graduate experience in the financial industry.
- Experience with FIX protocol, Linux, scripting (e.g., Bash/Python), and network protocols.
- Strong understanding of incident/problem resolution, release management, and stakeholder coordination.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and solution-focused mindset.
- Able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced trading environment.
Nice to Have
- Solid understanding of financial markets, especially FX and Derivatives.
- Knowledge of algorithmic trading, pricing engines, and market connectivity.
- Familiarity with OMS/EMS platforms, STP flows, and post-trade environments.

- Compensation: USD 110,000 - USD 140,000 yearly.
