Role Overview
As an IT Operations Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and maintaining automated systems within a scalable IT environment. Your work will focus on eliminating manual processes through robust scripting and platform integration, ensuring services are securely delivered and consistently managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support core automation infrastructure, including service gateways that standardize access and security across IT operations.
- Identify areas for process improvement and lead the development of automated solutions using proven engineering practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to transition manual workflows into reliable, auditable, and compliant systems.
- Deliver advanced technical support for automation platforms, resolving complex issues and coordinating with vendors or specialists when needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of four years in a technical automation or systems engineering role.
- Hands-on experience writing and maintaining scripts in Python, Terraform, or Bash.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Okta (including APIs and workflow automation), and Google Workspace administration.
- Strong grasp of software development lifecycle principles, including version control via GitHub, code reviews, testing, and deployment pipelines.
