Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) / MUFG Bank Europe N.V. (MBE) is looking for a Trade Finance and Guarantee Specialist to join our Operations Division. In this role, you will process and issue all types of bank guarantees and standby letters of credit, including composing complex texts, and handle documentary credits, collections, and discounting. You will analyze transaction risks and act as the primary contact for clients and stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Process and issue all types of bank guarantees and standby letters of credit, including composing complex texts.
Process trade finance transactions such as documentary credits, documentary collections, and discounting, including amendments, acceptances, and reimbursement collections.
Analyze potential risks associated with bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, and trade finance transactions.
Prepare and record issuances, amendments, and related correspondence for bank guarantees, standby letters of credit, documentary credits, and collections.
Serve as the primary contact for internal and external clients and other stakeholders, providing subject matter expertise on transaction status.
Investigate and resolve customer inquiries.
Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory agencies, including all relevant ICC rules and publications.
Assist in establishing, tracking, and improving standard operating procedures based on workflow reviews.

What We're Looking For

A degree in finance or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience within a complex financial services environment providing trade finance servicing, structuring trade deals and supply chain finance, while directly engaging with customers.
Working knowledge of financial products, accounting principles, and compliance regulations.
Knowledge of relevant regional bank policies, procedures, and government regulatory agencies.
Understanding of economic and political risks in international trade, such as exchange rate risk.
Comprehensive understanding of commonly used trade financing reporting, reconciliation, and audit mechanisms and tools.
Demonstrated integrity, responsibility, customer focus, professionalism, teamwork, and a drive for results.
Ability to collaborate, build partnerships, communicate effectively, challenge yourself to grow, influence others, lead change, think strategically, and manage talent.

Gross salary based on experience and consistent with the market.
