Redstone Federal Credit Union is hiring a Processor to play a key role in our mortgage lending process. You will review and verify mortgage applications and documentation, performing processing and pre-closing tasks to manufacture loans in compliance with all standards from application to underwriting submission.
What You'll Do
- Review data integrity of loan files, analyzing credit, income, asset, and property documentation.
- Ensure files meet all investor, mortgage insurance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Create and send disclosures and re-disclosures to loan applicants.
- Act as a liaison between borrowers and all transaction parties.
- Communicate with borrowers to request needed items and provide regular loan status updates.
- Submit loan files to the underwriter for final approval and validation.
- Use established procedures to carry out duties and seek guidance from team members.
- Assess member needs and provide consultative services on mortgage products.
- Handle member complaints via phone, correspondence, and follow-up.
- Interact with other departments and vendors to research and resolve problems.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of Mortgage Lending experience
- Working knowledge of FNMA guidelines
Nice to Have
- Experience with FHA, VA, or USDA loan programs
