Kyndryl is looking for an Application Consultant to join our Consultant Profession and act as a trusted advisor for our customers. You will drive innovation and digital transformation across various industries, architecting solutions and guiding modernization efforts to help clients achieve their business ambitions.
What You'll Do
- Act as a catalyst for innovation and transformation, enabling customers to harness technology to achieve their ambitions.
- Forge strong customer relationships to gain deep insights into business objectives and long-term aspirations.
- Provide expert guidance on leveraging technology to propel customers toward success.
- Align processes to technology and develop/deploy bespoke solutions as a visionary architect for digital transformation.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments for new applications or upgrades, documenting specifications with precision using Business Analysis methodologies.
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional and nonfunctional specifications.
- Guide customers through application modernization to future-proof and optimize their systems.
- Assist customers in selecting and customizing packaged solutions to fulfill unique business needs.
- Collaborate closely with application architects and development staff to bring visions to life.
- Analyze requirements and plan design/implementation work while adhering to time, cost, and quality targets.
- Consult with customers on compatibility challenges (hardware, OS, data conversion, training) and offer holistic, budget-aligned solutions.
- Help customers choose between multiple applications, including packaged solutions, using sharp insights and judgment.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in application development and deployment.
- 5+ years in application migration and modernization.
- 5+ years in application architecture, middleware and data experience.
- Experience with a variety of technologies including BI, database principles, programming fundamentals, SQL, hardware/software, operating systems and networking.
- Strong technical acumen & deep working knowledge of Agile Methods, Service Architecture, and enterprise Cloud Integration.
- Strong ability to influence, collaborate and build relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Nice to Have
- SaaS application implementation experience: (e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite, NetSuite, Infor, Unit 4, PeopleSoft, Oracle Cloud ERP, SAP, Lawson).
- Experience with application modernization tools, e.g. CAST.
- Experience in using and implementing DevSecOps processes.
- Past experience in assisting stakeholders in quantifying risks and developing mitigation and remediation strategies.
