What You'll Do
Guide small groups through immersive travel experiences across Portugal and select European destinations, ensuring each journey is safe, meaningful, and well-organized. Serve as the primary point of contact for travelers, managing daily logistics, accommodations, transportation, and local activities while adapting to changing conditions.
Share in-depth knowledge of local cultures, history, cuisine, and environments to enrich the travel experience. Maintain accurate daily records, manage group budgets responsibly, and submit detailed trip reports. Support itinerary development by identifying new opportunities and providing feedback on routes, services, and accommodations.
Train and mentor new tour leaders, contribute updated trip notes, and collaborate with regional teams to ensure seamless operations. Stay informed about travel regulations, health requirements, and safety protocols relevant to your nationality and destinations.
Requirements
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for international travel and cultural exploration
- Proven experience living, studying, or working outside your home country
- Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written
- Valid passport and ability to travel freely across Europe
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification at contract start
- High physical stamina to manage long, active days in varied environments
- Commitment to environmentally conscious and culturally respectful travel practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Portuguese, Spanish, French, or Italian
- Leadership experience with strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Calm and resourceful demeanor in unpredictable situations
- Basic budgeting or accounting skills
- Comfort using email, web browsers, Microsoft Word, and Excel
