Lead transformative travel experiences across Greece and neighboring destinations as a Tour Leader with a global adventure operator dedicated to meaningful, sustainable exploration. You’ll play a central role in guiding small groups through immersive journeys, ensuring safety, engagement, and cultural authenticity while fostering personal connections with local communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide travelers with professionalism and empathy, managing daily logistics, accommodations, transportation, and activities while adapting to changing conditions
- Act as the primary point of contact for group members, addressing concerns and enhancing satisfaction through clear communication and proactive support
- Deliver insightful commentary on local culture, history, environment, and current affairs, enriching the travel experience
- Maintain accurate daily records of expenses, itineraries, and traveler feedback, ensuring compliance with budget and operational standards
- Update and preserve detailed trip documentation and share knowledge with new leaders and regional teams
- Identify opportunities for route improvements, new destinations, or operational efficiencies during tours
- Support regional offices and assist in training new leaders when required
Qualifications
Candidates must have a demonstrated enthusiasm for adventure travel and cross-cultural exchange, along with proven leadership experience in dynamic environments. Fluency in English is essential. A valid passport, up-to-date vaccinations, and First Aid/CPR certification are required. You must be physically resilient, adaptable, and capable of managing long, active days in varied conditions.
Proficiency with email, Microsoft Word, and Excel is expected. Experience living, working, or traveling abroad is highly valued. Knowledge of Greek or the ability to lead multi-country tours is an asset. A background in budgeting or basic accounting strengthens candidacy.
Work Environment
This role requires leading trips primarily in Greece, with potential for international routes. Flexibility to travel across regions and adapt to changing schedules is essential. You’ll operate independently while remaining connected to regional and global support teams.
