Lead a vibrant youth ministry in the North Shore region of Chicagoland, centered on building authentic relationships with high school and college students. This role is responsible for advancing a faith-based mission through outreach, spiritual development, and team leadership.
Ministry Leadership
- Oversee high school and college programs, including weekly gatherings, Bible studies, and seasonal camping experiences.
- Recruit, train, and supervise teams of college and adult volunteers to support student engagement.
- Model effective relational ministry and spiritual growth practices for leaders and students alike.
- Collaborate with regional leadership to expand outreach and ensure consistent gospel-centered programming across schools.
Spiritual Development
- Commit to personal spiritual disciplines, including prayer, Scripture study, and retreat.
- Participate actively in a local church community and foster spiritual growth among staff and volunteers.
- Design leadership plans that encourage deepening faith and discipleship across all levels of ministry.
- Ensure all activities are rooted in prayer and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Operations and Strategy
- Develop and execute a yearly ministry strategy aimed at reaching every student in the area.
- Lead fundraising initiatives to support local programs, maintaining financial accountability and donor engagement.
- Manage budgets with transparency and stewardship, striving for consistent financial health.
- Organize impactful events that reflect the mission’s vision and inspire community investment.
- Maintain accurate records of students, volunteers, and donors.
Qualifications
- Must affirm a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and align with the organization’s Statement of Faith.
- Bachelor’s degree required; ministry, leadership, or fundraising experience preferred.
- Proven ability to initiate and lead relational outreach with youth and adults.
- Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule with frequent evenings and weekends.
- Must reside within the North Shore communities served by the ministry.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to confidentiality are essential.
