Lead immersive small-group adventures through some of Europe’s most dynamic regions as a Tour Leader, guiding travelers across Central and Eastern Europe and Scandinavia. You’ll play a central role in shaping memorable journeys by combining cultural insight, logistical coordination, and attentive service. Your responsibility is to ensure each traveler feels safe, informed, and engaged throughout the trip.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver consistent, high-quality service while managing group dynamics and individual needs.
- Act as guide, facilitator, and on-the-ground manager, providing real-time interpretation and local context.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of destinations, including cultural practices, historical sites, accommodations, and transportation networks.
- Manage daily logistics, including bookings, budgets, and itinerary adjustments when necessary.
- Keep accurate financial records, retain receipts, and operate within assigned trip budgets.
- Report on each journey using standardized formats and update trip documentation regularly.
- Train new leaders and share regional insights to strengthen team knowledge.
- Support regional and headquarters teams with operational needs as requested.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience living, working, or traveling internationally.
- Strong command of English; additional regional languages are an asset.
- Proven leadership ability and composure in unpredictable situations.
- Commitment to responsible tourism and cultural sensitivity.
- Valid passport and ability to comply with visa and vaccination requirements.
- Standard First Aid and CPR certification required at contract start.
- Proficiency with email, internet, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Work Environment
This role requires frequent travel across multiple countries, including combination tours that span regions. You must be physically and mentally prepared for long days, changing conditions, and diverse environments. Based on operational needs, assignments may include destinations across Northern, Central, and Southeastern Europe.
