About the Role

Guide small-group travel adventures across the Balkans and select European regions, crafting authentic and responsible travel experiences. As a Tour Leader, you’ll play a central role in shaping how travelers connect with local cultures, environments, and communities, ensuring each journey is safe, meaningful, and well-managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead groups with confidence, prioritizing traveler well-being, engagement, and satisfaction.
  • Deepen your understanding of regional cultures, history, politics, and natural environments to enhance group experiences.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accommodations, dining, transport, pricing, and local attractions.
  • Build and manage a network of reliable local contacts and resources to support smooth operations.
  • Handle day-to-day logistics including reservations, budget tracking, and itinerary adjustments when necessary.
  • Act as guide, interpreter, and group facilitator, providing clear communication and support throughout the journey.
  • Resolve traveler concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring positive outcomes.
  • Keep detailed records, submit post-trip reports, and maintain accurate, updated trip notes.
  • Train new leaders and assist regional teams when requested.
  • Stay informed on travel requirements, visa regulations, and personal documentation based on your nationality.

Candidates must have a strong background in international travel, living, or work experience abroad, with fluency in English and a demonstrated ability to lead in dynamic environments. A commitment to sustainable tourism—both culturally and environmentally—is essential. You must be physically fit, adaptable, and capable of managing long, active days in varied conditions.

Standard First Aid and CPR certification are required at the start of your contract. You must hold an EU passport or have legal authorization to work in EU countries and be able to travel freely across Europe.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with regional languages such as Croatian, Serbian, Albanian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Greek, Turkish, Hungarian, German, or Czech.
  • Experience with personal or professional budgeting and expense tracking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet-based tools.

Work Environment

This role involves frequent travel across multiple countries including Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Czechia, and Italy. Itineraries vary based on tour combinations, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
