Bombardier is looking for a Tooling Agent to manage tooling projects from initial analysis through final delivery. You will be responsible for collaborating with production, aircraft methods support, and engineering to find technological solutions that improve assembly performance.
What You'll Do
- Work with production, aircraft methods support, and engineering to analyze tooling requests and find technological solutions.
- Update and coordinate schedules and information for tooling requests/projects.
- Participate with tool designers in the definition of tooling concepts.
- Issue order instructions to enable internal and external suppliers to manufacture tools.
- Manage and track costs of projects under your management.
- Accompany and support internal and external suppliers during tool manufacturing.
- Inspect tooling to ensure conformity with drawings before delivery and support first jig testing.
- Provide technical support to various production areas and assist operations with technical problems.
What We're Looking For
- College diploma in mechanical engineering or aeronautics, or equivalent experience.
- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 2 years of experience in project management.
- Technical knowledge in mechanical manufacturing.
- Good manual experience in the field of specialized tools.
- Proficient in machining techniques.
- Proficient in drawing reading and geometric tolerancing.
- Knowledge of the aerospace field, specifically interior finishing assembly.
- Analytical mind and a good sense of organization.
- Excellent communication skills and enjoy teamwork.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Fluent in French and have some knowledge of English.
Nice to Have
- Familiar with Catia V5 and/or NX drafting software.
