Responsibilities
- Develop and adapt lesson plans throughout the academic year as needed
- Adjust teaching strategies to support varied student learning needs
- Keep thorough and up-to-date records of each student's academic progress and development
- Apply research-supported instructional methods in daily lesson design and delivery
- Guide and manage student conduct within the classroom setting
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
- Use school-endorsed curricula that reflect students’ diverse cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds
- Enforce established school-wide behavioral and cultural expectations
- Engage with families to discuss student academic performance and social-emotional development
- Integrate technology into classroom activities to enhance student learning
- Assist in organizing and carrying out non-instructional school events when necessary
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators and staff through clear communication
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by school leadership

- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Comfort operating in a performance-driven coaching model involving regular observations, feedback sessions, action planning, and progress tracking
- Capable of supervising students across age groups in various non-classroom environments such as cafeterias and playgrounds
- Eligible to pass both federal and state criminal background screenings
