Gilead Sciences, Inc. is seeking a Therapeutic Specialist I to drive product promotion and achieve sales objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting coverage, frequency, and sales targets within your assigned geographic territory while collaborating extensively with internal colleagues and external partners.
What You'll Do
- Achieve coverage and frequency targets, and consistently achieve sales targets in your assigned territory.
- Contribute to regional training by developing key skills among other team members.
- Initiate systems to monitor sales progress, measure success, document results, and provide performance feedback.
- Work in collaboration with outside partner companies to co-promote products or services.
- Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events, and other miscellaneous external expenditures.
- Represent the company at professional events and promote company products.
- Work cooperatively with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, Marketing, and other internal Gilead team members on cross-functional projects.
- Assist in identifying and resolving issues and opportunities, communicating proactively to marketing and sales management.
- Complete necessary administrative tasks in a timely manner, such as updating customer databases and expenses.
- Communicate and function across the commercial team to ensure efficient collaboration on projects.
- Operate in compliance with Gilead commercial compliance policy and all applicable federal and state laws and guidance.
- Collect market dynamics, including competitor activity, products, customers, and medical insurance implementation, and feedback market information.
- Comply with Gilead's ethics and business conduct guidelines to conduct academic visits.
What We're Looking For
- BA or BS degree.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant selling experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Proven expertise in interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
- Working knowledge of a relevant therapeutic/disease/product area.
- Familiarity with industry trends and competitor's resources and practices.
- Ability to identify and understand moderately complex issues and problems and interpret information to provide appropriate recommendations.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Excellent academic ability, cross-departmental cooperation, and communication skills.
- Good stress resistance.
- Integrity, diligence, pragmatism, courage to innovate, willingness to accept challenges, and alignment with Gilead's culture and values.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in the appropriate therapeutic area is highly desired.
- Foreign enterprise experience is preferred.
Team & Environment
You will work closely with Medical Science Liaisons, National Account Managers, Marketing, and other internal Gilead team members on cross-functional projects.
