The University of Notre Dame Australia is seeking a dedicated professional for a role focused on clinical education. You will be responsible for the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality educational programs that support student learning and enhance the quality of clinical placement. You will work in collaboration with academic teams, clinical partners, and the broader allied health community to strengthen clinical teaching and learning.
What You'll Do
- Develop and facilitate engaging, up-to-date clinical education sessions for students and healthcare staff.
- Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, guidance and support to students and/or supervisors during clinical placements.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback, identify areas for improvement, and develop individual learning plans where needed.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with government, healthcare, education, and allied health stakeholders.
- Identify gaps in clinical education and practice and contribute to quality improvement strategies across allied health services.
- Coordinate access to appropriate clinical training tools, equipment, and technologies to support effective learning.
- Actively engage in professional development to remain current with clinical practice advancements and educational methodologies.
What We're Looking For
- Demonstrated clinical experience (2-3yrs minimum) in an allied health setting with a strong understanding of evidence-based practice and professional standards.
- Current Registration or professional accreditation with the relevant regulatory body or professional association (e.g., AHPRA or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in clinical supervision, mentoring teaching, or preceptorship role within clinical and/or academic settings.
- Well-developed understanding of clinical education frameworks, assessment strategies, and competency-based education.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, show empathy, and foster collegial relationships.
- Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary healthcare teams and cultivate a positive, inclusive clinical education learning environment.
- Ability to engage and work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive and respectful environment.
- Ability to design and deliver high-quality education and teaching practices using a variety of modes, including face-to-face, online, and blended formats.
