Role Overview
Join a supportive network as a contract Testing Psychologist serving clients in Iowa. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, helping to clarify diagnoses and inform effective treatment strategies. You'll work with individuals who have diverse neurodevelopmental and behavioral health profiles, including ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, learning challenges, anxiety, and mood disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological evaluations across age groups, incorporating clinical interviews, test administration, and data interpretation
- Use standardized assessment tools—including cognitive, academic, and behavioral instruments—to evaluate functioning and inform diagnosis
- Deliver diagnostic insights and individualized recommendations through detailed reports and direct feedback sessions
- Oversee test administration by psychometrists and assistants, ensuring accurate scoring and adherence to protocols
- Provide feedback in person or via recorded video, explaining results in a compassionate, understandable way
- Utilize telehealth platforms for remote assessments, adapting procedures to maintain validity and engagement
- Conduct intakes, testing sessions, and feedback meetings either in person or virtually, based on client and clinician preference
Qualifications
Required:
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an APA-accredited program
- Active licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in any U.S. state
- Minimum of three years of experience conducting psychological assessments
- Experience evaluating conditions such as ADHD, autism, mood and anxiety disorders, and learning differences
- Proficiency with assessment instruments like WAIS, WISC, BASC, Conners, and ADOS
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex findings clearly
- Experience with telehealth and remote testing platforms
- Ability to conduct evaluations in person or remotely from your own practice space
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening

- Eligibility for or current authorization under PSYPACT
Work Environment
This is a 1099 contract position with hybrid flexibility. You may conduct assessments in person or remotely, depending on client needs and your availability. There is no minimum hour requirement, allowing you to set a schedule that fits your practice. Testing materials are provided, and support staff—including psychometrists—are available to assist with administration and scoring.
