Victaulic is hiring a Territory Sales Manager for the Richmond VA area. This outside sales role focuses on the commercial construction market, where you will build relationships and educate customers on our mechanical piping solutions.
What You'll Do
- Learn Victaulic’s products and solutions through the company's comprehensive training program.
- Develop and execute a business plan with your Regional Sales Manager, including opportunity mapping and sales goals.
- Manage all phases of project pursuit, from design and bidding through to final commissioning.
- Build lasting relationships with mechanical contractors, engineers, and building/project owners.
- Educate customers through job site demonstrations, training sessions, and lunch-and-learn presentations.
- Influence decision-makers to maximize sales potential.
- Partner with Victaulic distributors and manage a balanced network.
- Coordinate with inside sales, engineering, and other support staff to meet customer requirements.
- Integrate into local trade organizations and professional associations.
- Take customers to dinners, sporting events, and other social engagements beyond normal business hours.
What We're Looking For
- Willingness to travel; some territories require heavier overnight travel.
- Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision, being self-motivated and self-driven.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions like snow, heat, mud, and rain.
- Ability to handle equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- Previous sales experience with 'value added' products, preferably in commercial construction, the PVF industry (pipes, valves, fittings), or mechanical products.
- A demonstrated history of sales achievements and nurturing long-term relationships.
- A competitive, flexible, and resilient nature with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.
- Confidence, a professional image, and an engaging personality.
- Excellent organization, time management, and project management skills.

Team & Environment
You will be part of the outside sales team, reporting directly to a Regional Sales Manager. You will coordinate closely with the inside sales team, engineering, and other support staff.
