What You'll Do
Take ownership of business development across the Tararua region, with a focus on expanding into the beef market. You’ll identify and pursue new opportunities through direct outreach, industry networks, and event participation, guiding prospects from first contact to closed sale. Your role includes demonstrating product value, negotiating agreements, and consistently meeting ambitious sales goals.
After a sale, you’ll remain closely involved to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term customer success. You’ll act as the main local contact, listening to feedback and relaying insights to internal teams. By maintaining strong ties with regional farming groups and staying active in the community, you’ll strengthen market presence and support continuous product improvement.
Requirements
- Live in the Tararua region, preferably near Danniverke, and be prepared for regular daily travel to meet farmers on-site
- Demonstrate a track record of exceeding sales targets through consultative, value-driven selling
- Proven ability to manage a full sales cycle and build lasting customer relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills to balance growth objectives with customer support across a broad territory
- Commitment to post-sale engagement and growing customer partnerships over time
- Hands-on mindset with a focus on execution, accountability, and results
