Unilever is hiring a Territory Manager for its Renuzi Lekki/Ajah territory in Lagos. In this role, you will be responsible for making Unilever's products available and visible to consumers by driving secondary sales, managing distributors and their sales force, and ensuring optimal implementation of trade and merchandising plans.
What You'll Do
- Expand coverage to all viable stores in the territory, aiming for as close to 100% effective coverage as possible.
- Ensure use of handheld terminals (HHTs) for store-specific tasks and the execution of right merchandising.
- Ensure orders are fulfilled in full and on time, improving suggested sell-in quantity and assortment for store expansion.
- Drive 100% achievement of all KPIs within the assigned territories and channels.
- Optimize Trade Term Spend (TTS).
- Build the distribution network by leveraging brands, driving core distribution, new launches, and improving shelf availability.
- Drive numeric and weighted distribution, focusing on more stores, on-shelf availability, and Share of Shelf.
- Drive the success of channel programs and propose relevant territory-specific channel activities.
- Execute perfect store programmes to win at the point of sale and ensure implementation of in-store objectives.
- Manage distributor appointment, regular stock taking & system reconciliation, Joint Business Plan (JBP) execution, DSR training/development, DT controls, performance assessment, and customer service.
- Handle all key issues and grievances sensitively and in a timely manner as the face of Unilever to retailers.
- Ensure regular store coverage per the beat plan, on-time stock delivery, addition of new stores, satisfactory secondary CCFOT, on-time trade claims settlement, and product quality on shelf.
- Gather and report competitive intelligence on new launches, price changes, promotions, distribution strategies, channel programs, sampling, and wholesale trends.

- 2–4 years of experience in Sales.

- Strong Business & Finance Acumen.
- Great insights about the business in the territory, including key challenges and opportunities.

- Ability to interpret sales trends & analysis (data analytics).
- A track record of producing consistent results.
- Experience in distributor (KD) sales force capability development.
