MezTal is looking for a Senior Accountant with a strong background in Senior Living to join our team. You will be responsible for full-cycle accounting across multiple senior living communities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP.
What You'll Do
- Perform full-cycle accounting for multiple Senior Living properties, including AR, AP, GL, accruals, and financial statements.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to monthly close, management fees, payroll allocations, utilities, and intercompany transactions.
- Manage and reconcile resident billing, move-ins/move-outs, and care-level adjustments.
- Review and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with property and regional teams to maintain accurate property-level financials.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support audits by preparing detailed schedules and reconciliations.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.
- Train and mentor junior accountants, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to accounting standards.
