Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors is hiring a Territory Manager to drive growth and strengthen relationships with independent insurance agencies within a defined geographic region. You will manage a portfolio of agencies, develop new business opportunities, and ensure effective communication to achieve revenue targets.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with independent insurance agencies to achieve distribution and revenue goals.
- Prospect and engage new agencies to expand the territory’s reach and market presence.
- Utilize consultative sales techniques and strategic marketing plans to generate new business opportunities.
- Conduct virtual and on-site agency visits to foster partnerships and drive submission and bound premium growth.
- Track agency performance, document interactions, and report on premium growth and activity results.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize territory performance and address gaps in processes or communications.
- Make formal sales presentations and resolve client objections to maximize sales activity within assigned agencies.
- Identify opportunities for new business strategies and process improvements.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 1 year of business experience in insurance sales or services.
- Workers’ compensation experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Strong sales presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct strategic conversations.
- Self-motivated, energetic, and goal-oriented with a high sense of urgency.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, evolving environment while maintaining a competitive team mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, or similar software.
- Experience using workflow or CRM systems to manage prospective and current accounts.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for agency visits, trade shows, and business meetings.
