Unilever is hiring a Territory Development Manager

About the Role

Unilever is looking for a Territory Development Manager to drive sustainable business growth by engaging with Operators, Chains, and Trade Partners. You will be part of an integrated digital ecosystem focused on expanding reach with new customers and deepening penetration with existing ones, using data and CRM tools to execute your territory plan.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver business targets including Sales Growth, Reach & Penetration, Digital Engagement, and customer presentations.
  • Execute a multi-touchpoint contact strategy, both online and face-to-face, to generate demand and deliver great customer experience.
  • Provide virtual culinary consultation to targeted operators.
  • Engage with Local Chain Account and Operator Customers to deliver territory targets for Turnover, FPO, Digital Engagement, Demos, and Sampling.
  • Implement a full Key Account Management approach, including executing CBP, Win & Retain funnel, and Contact Matrix with a 20% online / 80% F2F call mix.
  • Convert business insights into activation and concept solution selling using data and market trends.
  • Network with key customer stakeholders to engage the right decision makers.
  • Prepare customer visits with solution recommendations and utilize CRM Salesforce to manage workflow.
  • Conduct F2F and Virtual Sampling, Ideation, and Cooking Demos using culinary knowledge.
  • Follow up on calls to progress opportunities to sale closure.
  • Secure and coordinate customer orders each month to ensure growth targets are met.
  • Meet with Distributors/Trade Partners to expand assortment, align priorities, and source leads.
  • Build and nurture relationships with local Distributor Sales Rep’s (DSRs).
  • Implement a Contact Matrix for Key Trade customers using a Squad approach.
  • Engage trade customers to align for Secondary Sales Data (SSD).
  • Implement promotions related to key seasons and events.
  • Ensure timely submission and settlement of claims.

What We're Looking For

  • CPG Foodservice Sales Experience (B2B Sales)
  • Culinary/Chef Selling Experiences
  • Network of Existing Foodservice Operator Partners
  • Distributor Sales, Ingredient Sales, or Broker Sales experience
  • Experience with CRM (Salesforce)
  • Operator Experience
  • Market/Geographical knowledge
  • Food University Background (e.g., CIA, Food & Hospitality)
  • Multi-National Corporate Company Experience – understands corporate ways of working

Nice to Have

  • Bilingual (Spanish or Mandarin)

Work Mode

This is a remote position. The candidate will be aligned to the Minneapolis territory.
