Samsung Austin Semiconductor is looking for a TEM Sample Prep Technician (Night Shift) to join our team. You will operate dual beam focused ion beam (FIB) tools to prepare high-quality samples suitable for advanced TEM analysis. This role involves tool maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting while collaborating closely with the imaging team to improve sample quality, expand capabilities, and improve team throughput.
What You'll Do
- Follow SOP and job instructions carefully with a keen attention to detail.
- Operate Dual Beam FIB tools to prepare high-quality samples free of damage or artifacts for TEM analysis.
- Perform level-appropriate tool maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Strive for output and efficiency improvement to help the team achieve TAT and capacity goals.
- Determine and assist in the development of methods and procedures to optimize techniques and capabilities related to in-lab operations.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with SEM and FIB operation for the preparation of high-quality TEM samples free of damages or artifacts.
- Ability to manipulate small features, tools, or samples consistently.
- Demonstrated motivation and capability to quickly comprehend sophisticated equipment and processes.
- Experience with operator-level tool maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with chemical and dry etch sample delayering.
- Experience with physical failure analysis sample manipulation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to navigate various Samsung software applications.
Nice to Have
- Two years or less of college or technical school.
- Less than three years of experience in the Semiconductor field.
