Position Overview
As a Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) Specialist, you'll be tasked with operating advanced dual beam focused ion beam systems to craft premium samples ideal for sophisticated TEM evaluation, including appropriate equipment maintenance, calibration, and diagnostic procedures. You'll collaborate with the imaging team to enhance sample quality, acquire new methodologies, expand capabilities, and improve overall team productivity and turnaround time.
Role and Responsibilities
Your Key Accountabilities Include:
• Meticulously adhere to established protocols and procedural instructions with exceptional precision
• Utilize Dual Beam FIB equipment to generate high-quality, damage-free samples for comprehensive TEM analysis
• Execute appropriate equipment maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting protocols
• Actively pursue output and efficiency enhancements to support team performance metrics
• Continuously develop professional skills and semiconductor process understanding
• Identify and contribute to developing methodologies that optimize operational techniques and laboratory capabilities
Skills and Qualifications
Educational and Experience Requirements:
• Two years or less of collegiate or technical training (preferred, not mandatory)
• Less than three years of semiconductor industry experience (preferred, not mandatory)
Technical Competencies:
• Proficient in SEM and FIB operations for creating pristine TEM sample preparations
• Exceptional ability to manipulate intricate features, tools, and samples consistently
• Demonstrated capacity to rapidly comprehend sophisticated equipment and processes
• Capability to maintain extended stationary work periods
• Competent in operator-level equipment maintenance, calibration, and diagnostic procedures
• Experienced in chemical and dry etch sample delayering
• Skilled in physical failure analysis sample manipulation
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and adept at navigating Samsung software platforms
Compensation Range: $18.60 - $45.00 hourly, with variation based on individual qualifications and experience.
Shift Details:
B Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturdays
