About the Role
This position involves delivering comprehensive primary care services through virtual visits, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management of health conditions while fostering strong patient relationships and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct virtual patient visits using secure telehealth platforms
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Review patient medical histories and assess symptoms
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications following regulatory guidelines
- Manage follow-up care and treatment adjustments
- Coordinate with specialists when necessary
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
- Provide preventive care and health education
- Address patient concerns with cultural sensitivity
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and privacy standards
- Respond to patient messages within established timeframes
- Support continuity of care across patient episodes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with clinical guidelines and best practices
- Engage in peer review and case discussions
- Adhere to state medical licensing requirements
- Uphold professional standards in virtual settings
- Respond to urgent patient issues promptly
- Promote patient engagement and self-management
