OnQGlobal Inc is hiring a Telecom Superintendent to lead the installation and turnover of network and structured cabling systems on a hyperscale data center project. This critical late-stage construction role is responsible for fiber backbone, copper cabling, pathways, telecom rooms, and coordination with the owner’s IT and commissioning teams to support network readiness and data center activation.
What You'll Do
- Lead field execution for telecom and structured cabling systems, including fiber and copper infrastructure.
- Supervise cabling contractors and coordinate daily installation activities.
- Ensure all pathways, racks, IDFs, MDFs, and backbone systems are installed per design and owner standards.
- Coordinate testing, labeling, and documentation for turnover.
- Support commissioning and network readiness milestones.
- Track installation progress, resolve field issues, and manage redlines and as-builts.
- Coordinate with GC, Owner’s IT, and commissioning teams.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of construction supervision focused on telecom and structured cabling.
- Experience on data centers, advanced manufacturing, or large-scale network environments.
- Strong knowledge of fiber, copper, pathways, IDF/MDF buildouts, and testing standards.
- Comfortable coordinating multiple vendors and tight schedules.
Nice to Have
- Hyperscale data center experience.
- OTDR / fiber testing familiarity.
- BICSI, RCDD, or equivalent certifications.
