Boulder Valley Staff Associate I is an entry-level position designed to equip individuals in Christian youth ministry through immersive experience and guided development. The role centers on building meaningful relationships with young people while growing in personal faith and leadership capacity.
Spiritual & Personal Development
Commit to a consistent spiritual rhythm through prayer, Scripture study, and regular retreats. Participate actively in a local church community and model spiritual disciplines that reflect a growing relationship with Christ. Engage in the broader spiritual life of the ministry community and contribute to a culture of faith and reflection.
Ministry Leadership & Outreach
Learn to lead and support youth programs including weekly gatherings, discipleship groups, and outdoor camp experiences. Build and guide teams that reflect the diversity of the local community. Gain experience in all stages of relational outreach, from initial contact to ongoing mentorship. Plan and run events that create space for spiritual exploration and personal growth.
Training & Team Development
Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring volunteer leaders. Work alongside supervisors and committees to develop effective team strategies and annual ministry plans. Model best practices in youth engagement and help others grow in their leadership abilities.
Administrative & Operational Support
Manage records for youth, donors, and volunteers with accuracy and discretion. Communicate regularly and professionally with supporters and ministry partners. Support fundraising efforts by assisting with events, donor updates, and financial stewardship using mission-approved systems.

Candidates must affirm a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and align with the organization’s core beliefs and conduct standards. Strong relational skills, clear communication, and a commitment to confidentiality are essential. The role requires physical readiness for outdoor camp environments, including variable weather, extended hours, and active participation in camp activities.
